The 3rd annual HoopMIA All Star game presented by the Junior Orange Bowl featured some of South Florida's best players. The HoopMIA All Star game is unique because it focuses on the best players from all three counties.(Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach)

The talent in the past few years has been elite, this year was no different. Between both teams there are a high number of college prospects including multiple division one signee's and prospects.

Top Performers:

Trey Doomes(6'4/G/2018) University School

The University School product was as good as advertised. Doomes displayed his athleticism over and over again during the 3rd annual HoopMIA All Star game. There was zero doubt on who was the most talented athlete on the floor.

Samir Stewart (6'0/PG/2018) American Heritage

Stewart the senior who spent most of his  high school career at Sagemont was lighting it up from everywhere this past Sunday. Stewart's strong frame, shifty ball skills, and consistent shooting ability make him an intriguing unsigned prospect heading into the spring.

Mike Forrest (6'2/PG/2018) Blanche Ely

Michael Forrest is the epitome of a winning basketball player. While watching Mike Forrest you say " Wow, did Mike Forrest just make another play?" Really good players tend to have that effect on people, Sunday was no different for Mike.  Forrest's recruitment has picked up a ton of steam as of late especially since he led his Blanche Ely Tigers to a state title. Forrest now currently holds offers from JMU, UNF, and Jacksonville among others.

Dante Moses (6'5/SG/2018) Inlet Grove

Moses the Palm Beach and Ball4Lyfe  product was sensational at this years all star game. Moses displayed his ability to play above the rim in transition, knock down open shots, and handle the ball comfortably. There is speculation that Moses will reclassify and become a 2019. If that is the case Moses recruitment should explode this summer.

Neftali Alvarez (6'1/PG/2018) Miami Christian

Alvarez the unsigned senior point guard was his usual tough and crafty self. Alvarez is always one of the best players on the floor, coming from a great basketball culture at Miami Christian the senior guard will be selecting from a number of division one schools this spring including: UMASS, Wichita State, and Akron.

Madiaw Niang (6'9/F/2018) DME Academy

Niang the former Calusa Prep star was sensational all afternoon. Niang has definitely improved his size and skill set since leaving Miami for Daytona his senior year. Niang recently picked up an offer from Long Beach State and should see his recruitment improve as he will most likely be playing some unsigned senior ball this summer.

Stock Booster:

Bryan Williams (6'1/CG/2018) Wellington HS

Williams who led his Wellington High School team to the state final shot the ball well and continued to impress our staff here at HoopMIA. Williams truly understands how to compete and get his own shot while always staying under control and within himself. Williams is an underrated athlete and will be a guy who really develops at the next level.

Josh Jerome (6'6/W/2018)Pembroke Pines Charter

The Pembroke Pines Charter product  Josh Jerome was shooting the ball well this past Sunday. Jerome is clearly oozing with talent, and is another guy we are hearing may re-classify to 2019. Jerome clearly has a confident stroke and deceptive ball handling skills. It will be interesting to watch where Jerome ends up after this Spring.
