Solomon Uyaelunmo, the 6’8 three-star (according to ESPN) 2018 Forward who plays high school basketball with Calvary Christian in Broward County was a 5A 2017 Florida State Champion and continued his success on the Under Armour Circuit (UAA) where he proved to be much more than a rebounding and defensive presence on a very impressive Team Breakdown roster, one of Under Armour’s top teams.

Solomon has the ability to hit shots consistently from mid-range and can also knock down the three ball if left open.  Uyaelunmo is a Combo Forward; the big man is able to play both forward positions effectively on the outside and the inside, making him a threat on both ends of the court.  Solomon was a monster on the boards this summer averaging 8 rpb and 8.6 ppg on the UAA.  Uyaelunmo was ranked 6th in rebounds (8 rpg) and ranked 2nd in offensive rebound percentage with 17.3% throughout the summer.

Uyaelunmo committed to Towson on September 21st, and looks to make an impact immediately at the next level.  Solomon Held offers and heavy interest from Rutgers, Columbia, VT, UAB, Georgetown, USF, and many other reputable D1 programs. Look for Solomon Uyaelunmo and Calvary Christian to go deep into States come this spring.
