Zach Scott Jr., the 2018 6’4 senior guard at Westminster Academy in Broward County plans to stay local and has verbally committed to Florida Gulf Coast University after his official visit this past weekend.  Scott had an incredibly impressive summer playing with @1FamilyHoops (one of the best programs in Florida) on the Adidas Uprising circuit and has decided to commit early to focus on his upcoming senior season.

FGCU landed one of the most underrated guards in the state of Florida.  Zach can play both guard positions (offensively and defensively) and plays very well on both sides of the floor.  The playmaking guard has a high I.Q. and great feel for the game; the smooth 6’4 combo guard can shoot lights out and loves creating plays for his teammates.  Zach has the ability to fill up the stat sheet and has been heavily recruited by D1 programs since his underclassmen years.

Zach who held offers from, Vanderbilt, Wichita State, DePaul, UCF, South Florida, Kansas State and a handful of other impressive D1 programs chose to spend his collegiate career with Coach Dooley and his staff at FGCU. Scott thanked 1FamilyHoops, the Florida Vipers, Coach Ehren Wallhoff, as well as his family, friends, and coaches/trainers that were apart of his exciting process.  Expect Zach Scott Jr. to make noise at the next level.
