As of July 10th 2017, Michael Guilbaud better known as "Coach G" resigned from the head coaching position at Immaculata-La Salle High School . For the first time in 11 years, Coach G will not be calling himself a Royal Lion. To me, this is a deeply personal matter which I would like to express to all of you briefly. Coach G is someone for the past eleven years of my life I could always count on. When I say always count on, I mean really count on. Whether it was a last minute workout he showed up for or a ride home from workouts when it was  out of his way.  This relationship wasn't manufactured through just hours and hours of training on the court and in the weight room, but more through our conversations before practice, after games, and so many other times. Coach G has always been able to relate to his players, but also has never been afraid to push his players out of their comfort zone to reach their full potential. In my life, not too many people have been able to push me to my limits like Coach G has.  I can personally vouch for his way of doing things, it helped me become the man I am today.  His presence at Immaculata-La Salle High School will be greatly missed but I think I speak for all for current/former players, we will always be a #RoyalLionFamily.

Although Coach G will no longer be at ILS, his coaching days are far from over. Coach G will move on and accept the  Athletic Director position at School House Prep and will be opening his own post graduate program, Triple Threat Prep. I am pleased to announce this news because Coach G has worked tirelessly on building his Triple Threat brand throughout his career coaching at ILS. Throughout the years he has trained high school, college and professional athletes to improve their basketball skill set, strength, conditioning and most importantly mind set. 

While ILS has lost a head coach and a role model I am confident they will find someone to carry the #RoyalLionFamily culture and tradition forward. Though it will be an adjustment for me personally the basketball community of Miami has just gained a great asset with Coach G moving over to the post graduate side of basketball. I am truly happy for him and am certain that big things are on the horizon. #GottaLoveIt
