Wesley Cardet, West Oaks Academy

Illinois is the latest program to offer the quintessential big guard. At 6-foot-6 and with high rising athleticism and also a unique skill set that enables him to create his shot off the dribble and knock back the deep jumper with consistency, Cardet is a transcendent type of talent at this level.

He’s already developed a college ready build and an ability to finish through contact at and above the rim.

With the Bewley twins also transferring in with Cardet, the Flame has the potential to hover around no.1-3 in the USA Today national rankings. Illinois is the latest program to offer Cardet, who has accumulated a slew of high major offers.

Jeremy Foumena, Central Pointe Christian Academy HS

The Class of 2022 forward has an imposing build at 6-foot-10 and 222 pounds. With a back to the rim game that he’s been working to refine and a fluid mid range shot, he has all the tools to erupt this season.

Expect him to fill the void in the paint left by Jonathon Aybar (North Florida) and Modibo Sanogo (Florida Southwestern) as an interior banger who can defend the rim.

Bryce Johnson, Oldsmar Christian

At first glance, Johnson might not seem like the threat that he is. Though a skinny looking kid at 6-foot-3, the Class of 2021 prospect is deceptively strong and bouncy with open court finishing.

He possesses surefire knockdown ability and shoulders a poised mentality with his clutch shot-making and knack for timely shots.

Johnson has authored a tremendous summer as a scorer and facilitator who can pick apart a defense and find cutters at the opportune times. Expect him to solidify his status as a MM+ under Jordan Fair at Oldsmar this year.

Ronnie Johnson, Oldsmar Christian

Another 6-foot-3 guard who has the potential to garner more exposure on the Division 1 market this season, Johnson is a tough and defensively active guard who defends all 94 feet.

Beyond his pesky on ball tactics which make him the spirit of a squad known for ball pressure, Johnson is an adept attacker who knows how to get his way to the rim with ease. He’s proven himself to be a reliable shot maker as well, boasting a fluid deep jumper.

John Wu Macon III, Surge Christian Academy:

The 6-foot-6 multi-positional wing has imposing size at 205 pounds and is able to create space for his shot and spread out the floor with consistent outside shooting.

Macon III is powerfully built, an aspect that enables him to defend the rim and also finish above the rim with ease.

Markus Ilver, Massanutten Military Academy

The 6-foot-8 sharpshooter authored a tremendous summer, garnering offers from VCU, Wisconsin, Utah, JMU, Xavier, and several others.

The deep, long range shooter possessed an adroit touch from NBA range. He’s able to rattle off 3-pointers in succession.

Beyond stretching the floor out and creating mismatches, Ilver has a three level scoring acumen and sneaky explosiveness and athleticism. He’s an active presence on the glass, rebounding it like a true big and also providing rim protection and proving he can help keep the net sealed shut.

Yero Diallo, S4G Academy (NC)

The 6-foot-3 guard has proven himself as a certifiable knockdown shooter who can take over games once he he seizes the hot hand.

Beyond shooting, Diallo was a guy who could manufacture points in a variety of ways and helped operate offense and facilitate the attack for head coach Kyle Solomon.

With a first step and on ball defensive tactics, Diallo provided stability for a team that was led by flamethrower Chase Thompson (now at Western Nebraska JUCO), who averaged 31.5 PPG last year.

Brant Beyers, Scotland Campus

The 6-foot-7 Class of 2024 prospect oozes of mid major potential down the road. He’s already established himself as a high level shooter and one of the most promising young prospects to emerge from the Central PA area.

With length and sneaky bounce and a coach-ability aspect that has been noteworthy, Beyers has the skill set and the intangibles for a very special future.

With his length and ability to guard multiple positions, Beyers’ game evokes memories of Lawrence Slim, a key role player on the then No.1 nationally ranked team of 2017-18. Like Slim, Beyers has deft outside shooting touch and does a little bit of everything.

Scotland Campus, which has gone 78-6 in the last two seasons as one of the country’s upper tier prep programs, has secured high major prospects such as 6-foot-10, 230-pound Brandon Huntley-Hatfield.

They will be the clear favorite to repeat as GAC champions and catapult to the nation’s upper percentile. By getting local kids and a youth movement, the program continues to grow.

Isaiah Folk, Brooklyn Law and Tech

The 6-foot-1 guard is an experienced and well built prospect, one who serves as a Swiss army knife caliber threat under head coach Mike Levy and legendary New York City coach, assistant Kenny Pretlow. Folk, the son of former schoolboy talent Lavar Folk, can hit the outside shot with consistency and also guard inside and snatch boards. He averaged 11 points and seven boards as a junior.

This year, as a more battle tested piece, expect him to do a little bit of everything as the quintessential glue guy.

Dylan Gizzi, Central Pointe Christian Academy Post Graduate

The 6-foot point guard has a purity of vision in his ability to create and facilitate, an attribute which enabled him to average six assists to go with 11 points at Guilderland in upstate New York last year.

Gizzi’s best attribute is his ability to finish and score it through traffic. He occasionally busts out a floater and can score it ambidextrously around the rim. A true and traditional point guard, he prides himself on hitting cutters in timely fashion and making that hockey assist or wowing assist that creates an easy bucket.
