This year marks the 4th consecutive HoopMIA x JOB Team Camp. Each and every year our mission has been to provide a quality platform for teams and prospects who are looking to improve individually and collectively. Throughout the years our Team Camp has had over 25+ division one players participate. This year our field consisted of a lot of young and talented teams.

Top Performers:

Malik Reneau(6'7/F/2022) Mater Academy

Reneau was terrific per usual, establishing himself as the premier post player in SFL especially for his classification. Reneau who holds an offer from Oklahoma State should see his recruitment balloon over next few months heading into his Sophomore campaign.

Isaiah Josue(6'3/G/2020) Mater Academy

Isaiah aka Ziggy has developed into a big time guard here in South Florida. Mater has clearly been the best team in Miami, a big part of it has been "Ziggy" and has ability to slash while making plays for others and finishing.

David Perez(6'2/G/2020)Riviera Prep

Perez has had a GREAT summer thus far. Perez is slated to play his summer ball with Miami Triple Threat on Hoop Group Showcase League during the NCAA Live Period. If Perez demonstrates his aggression defensively and his prowess at getting to the rim we anticipate a lot of interest for the rising senior.

Osmar Garcia(6'6/W/2023)

The incoming freshman Osmar Garcia is already considered one of the best players in Miami-Dade County after leading the Riviera Bull Dogs to STATES as an 8TH GRADER. Garcia's matchup against Reneau was the hardest fought battle of team camp. Both players took the matchup personally and hopefully this matchup only gets better as the two young guys mature.

Greg Gordon(6'5/W/2020) Coral Springs

Gordon a newcomer to SFL was the surprise of team cam . Gordon an athletic wing made it a point to attack the rim consistently. Gordon used his aggressive style to affect the game however he was needed, knocking down shots, rebounding and starting fast breaks or hounding offensive players. Gordon should be a name to follow as he looks to propel Coral Springs to new heights under second year HC Jarrett Williams.

Deshaun Joseph(6'7/W/2020)Krop

Joseph a versatile wing left no doubt about his talent level over the weekend. Joseph can handle, shoot off the catch or off the bounce and is athletic and confident finishing around the rim. Joseph who is running with Miami Triple Threat in the summer on the HoopGroup Showcase League already boasts an offer from Albany State University and looks to add a number of division one schools to his recruitment.

Justin Reid(6'6/W/2020)Krop

Reid, the other wing for Krop is a FREAK athlete. Reid at only 16 years old demonstrated high major athleticism throughout the weekend. More so than his athleticism, his effort and motor really shined through over the course of the weekend before falling to the eventual champs Mater Academy.

Gabe Fajardo(6'3/W/2020)Immaculata-La Salle

Fajardo the recent transfer from Westminster Christian was terrific for head coach Derrick De La Grana. Fajardo playing with a group of talented youngsters has absorbed the role of point-forward which seems to suit his skill set. Look for ILS to take big strides this year because of Fajardo's versatility and toughness he brings to each and every game.

Farid Saintfyr(6'2/CG/2020)Southridge

Saintfyr, a dynamic combo guard who is aggressive on both sides of the ball. Saintfyr is a little undersized as a two guard but his aggression and evolving playmaking ability make him a unique prospect heading into his senior year.

Demitrius Patterson(6'5/W/2021)Miami Beach

Patterson is a versatile wing with long arms and a strong frame. Patterson showed the ability to score from all three levels and should be the go-to scorer for Miami Beach High School.

Ange Dibwa(6'9/C/2020)Miami Triple Threat Prep

Dibwa is one of the most unique prospects in South Florida. Dibwa holds multiple offers mostly due to his exceptional frame, and developing skill set. Dibwa is an elite weak side shot blocker and an aggressive rebounder. As his development as an offensive player progress so will his offers from division one schools.

Markhi Strickland(6'7/W/2020)

Strickland son of former NBA player Mark Strickland has improved drastically over the last year while he attended IMG. Strickland is an impressive physical specimen standing 6'7 with a long wingspan and elite athleticism. Strickland who recently attended NBAPA Top 100 camp left with multiple division one offers including St. Louis, & Arkansas.

Steven Hernandez(6'1/CG/2020)

Hernandez is a big time shotmaker. Over the course of the weekend he multiple games where he made 3+ three pointers in game. Hernandez spent last year playing at Marathon High School in the Florida Keys where he led the team in scoring having some explosive performances including a 38 point output late in the season. Hernandez has not decided where he will attend school yet but look for him to make an impact wherever he lands.

Stock Boosters

Reggie "RJ" Luis(6'5/W/2021) Columbus

Luis is a talented versatile wing who decided to transfer over and play for newly minted head coach Andrew Moran at Christopher Columbus. Luis is skilled and can play multiple positions at this level and projects to be able to the same at the college level. Luis must improve his frame but demonstrated that he is a player to watch closely in the 2021 class.

Francisco Brea(6'0/CG/2021) Schoolhouse Prep

Brea is a dynamic combo guard with elite ball skills. Brea is a good shooter off the bounce or the catch. If Brea can develop as a finisher and a playmaker he could see his recruitment explode.

Jehu Wright(6'7/W/2021)Schoolhouse Prep

Wright is a long lanky wing with the ability to shoot the ball from deep. His potential is off the charts but he must play with more energy on the glass and as a defender to truly tap into the depths of his ability. Wright should flashes at team camp for stretches of games while also showed he can be irrelevant during the course of a game as well.

Jimel Lane(6'5/W/2022) Coral Reef

Lane who may be the most talented prospect at camp demonstrated why he is considered one of the best young players in Miami-Dade County. Lane plays travel ball with the Miami Warriors coached by Matt Doredeye but plays high school with Coral Reef. Lane has the ability to score from all three levels, play above the rim and finish through contact. There is no doubt the Lane will be a force to reckon with for the rest of high school career.

Ryan Ramirez(6'3/SG/2020)Florida Christian

Ramirez who had a nice weekend at team camp is a knockdown shooter with sneaky athleticism. If Ramirez improves as a ball handler and slasher he could find himself being a highly touted division 3 prospect after his senior year.

Emilio Ramirez(6'1/CG/2021) Immaculata- La Salle

Ramirez who has started on varsity as a freshman is showing signs of why coach Derrick De La Grana has been raving about him. Ramirez is very skilled with the ball in his hands demonstrating an array of finishes and dribble moves into a pull up jump shot. If Ramirez can manage the game at a high level and improve his frame before the start of the season he could have Immaculata-La Salle playing there best basketball in years.
