This weekend Barry University hosted there annual "Team Camp" which provides local high schools the opportunity to play a competitive slate of games while participating in front of the entire Barry University Men's Basketball coaching staff. Barry "Team Camp" consisted of a JV division as well as a Varsity division which provided our staff at HoopMIA ample opportunity to see new players in South Florida.

Varsity Champions: Miami Norland

JV Champions: Plantation Power

Notes:

Reese Wilkerson(6'7/PF/2018) Miami Norland

Wilkerson was impressive displaying an improved physique and improved touch around the basket leading Miami Norland to an undefeated record and a championship trophy from Barry University.

Pride George(5'11/PG/2018) Triple Threat

George is a crafty guard who has a knack for finding his hands on the basketball, especially on the defensive end of the floor. George is a consistent set shooter from the three point arc and is adept at handling the basketball in tight spaces. George led his team to the semi-finals of Barry Team Camp where his squad fell to a talented Coral Springs team.

Chamberlin Stejan(6'3/CG/2018) Northwest Christian Academy

Chamberlin is an athletic combo guard who plays with a good pace. Chamberlin has the ability to get to the rim and finish through contact as well as making shots from the perimeter. Chamberlin had a nice weekend and is firmly in the mix for a position for our 2018 rankings which are coming soon.

Kenny Lucien(5'10/PG/2018) Coral Springs HS

Lucien is a tough, gritty point guard who can defend 94 feet, can shoot from the mid range as well as from behind the arc. Lucien has a great frame and great quickness which allows him to make plays for his teammates consistently. Look out for Lucien in the 2017-18 season.

The Youngsters:

Thadeous Frankly(6'0/G/2021) Team Breakdown

Frankly is an athletic guard with a HIGH ceiling. Frankly is already built like a man, with shoulders that most high school seniors do not posses. Frankly is also extremely skilled with the basketball, being able to knife through the defense as well as being able to step behind the arc and make shots at a high clip. No word yet on where Frankly will attend high school but someone will be getting a future all county player.

Taderrius Davis(6'6/SF/2021) Triple Threat

Davis is a long slender wing who has barley scrapped the tip of the iceberg regarding his skills. Davis is long, active and has a sweet stroke behind the arc. In fact, one game while playing in the Varsity division Davis made 5 three pointers. With a little strength and polishing his ball skills Davis will be a premier player in his class especially in South Florida.
